The green ones are my favorite. I grabbed one and set it on my easel, half-intending to eat it immediately — which I did, the moment I put down my brush. What kept me from eating it sooner was trying to solve something: how do you paint translucency? A gummy bear isn't opaque, it isn't glass, it isn't quite anything else. The answer turned out to be warm and cool colors vibrating against each other — the deep magentas and purples pushing against the yellows — until the light seemed to come from inside. It worked well enough that I want to do it again. Next time, I'm sure I'll need a bigger bag.
